The 2023 Regional Tax, Assurance and Business Advisory Remuneration Report is now available!

We’re pleased to announce the publication of the 2023 Regional Tax, Assurance and Business Advisory Remuneration Report.

It outlines remuneration data from 6,220 incumbents from 10 Organisations with job data for 58 roles.

Some insights found in the report include:

  • The average number of staff recruited in the last 12 months was 225 full time equivalent employees, up 34% from the 168 reported over the 12 months from 2021 to 2022.
  • Gender data was submitted for 95% of employees. The overall gender distribution in the sample is fairly evenly split at 47% male and 53% female.
  • Corporate Finance has the highest proportion of male employees and Business Advisory Services continues to be the most female-dominated service line.
  • The overall average length of tenure reported is 3.9 years, up from 3.4 years reported in 2022. An average of 4.8 days is lost per year due to absenteeism and sickness.
  • 2023 has seen consistently high overall turnover and a decrease in the time taken to hire new staff. The overall average length of time it took to hire new staff was 31 days.
