Michelle Gapes

Manager Northern Consulting, Auckland

Michelle is responsible for the delivery of total reward and broad based remuneration services to clients across the Northern Region of New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. Michelle leads a large team of consultants across Auckland and Hamilton. In a variety of roles she has developed and audited remuneration systems, policies and strategies, managed the remuneration review process, facilitated training workshops; project-managed implementation of job evaluation and remuneration systems for client organisations.  She has managed one of the NZ largest remuneration projects implementing a new framework, expanding a year and involving 10,000 employees.

Michelle is the Executive Manager for the NZ Remuneration Network (RemNet), a Not for Profit Organisation that develops and connects remuneration professionals throughout New Zealand.  She has 20 years’ experience in remuneration and reward in specialist roles.
